The RCB AHG08 Alloy Handle Grip is a premium, high-style alternative to traditional all-rubber grips. It belongs to RCB’s “Luxury” line, designed for riders who want to add a high-end, metallic aesthetic to their bike’s cockpit without sacrificing total control.
Unlike standard grips, the AHG08 is a hybrid design that combines the strength of CNC aluminum with the comfort of rubber inserts.
Hybrid Construction
The AHG08 is built using two primary materials:

CNC Aluminum Body: The core and ends of the grip are carved from high-quality alloy. This provides a rigid, “heavy” feel that makes the handlebars feel more solid and premium.

Rubber “Traction” Inserts: To ensure your hands don’t slip on the smooth metal, the AHG08 features strategically placed rubber sections. This gives you the “bite” you need for throttle control while maintaining the alloy look.

Metallic Finish: The aluminum is hard-anodized in various colors (Black, Gold, Red, Blue, Silver). Because it is metal, the colors are much more vibrant and “deep” compared to colored rubber.

Open-End Design: These are designed to be perfectly compatible with bar-end weights or mirrors. The metal end-cap gives a seamless transition from the grip to the bar-end.

Anti-Corrosion: Since the body is aluminum, it won’t rust or degrade when exposed to heavy rain or intense UV rays.
Is the AHG08 right for you?
Choose the AHG08 if:

You want “Show-Bike” Aesthetics: It is one of the most visually impressive grips RCB makes. It instantly draws attention to the handlebars.

You prefer a “Heavier” Feel: The added weight of the aluminum can actually help dampen some low-frequency vibrations compared to ultra-light foam or thin rubber grips.

You want Durability: The outer structure is metal, so even if the bike tips over, the grip itself is less likely to tear or shred like a pure rubber one.
Consider something else (like the HG88) if:

You are a pure track rider. Metal grips can be slightly less “tacky” than pure racing rubber, and they can get quite hot if left sitting directly under the summer sun.
Installation Note
When installing alloy grips, ensure that your throttle sleeve is clean and free of old glue. Because the AHG08 has a metal inner sleeve (or a very rigid fit), there is less “stretch” than a standard rubber grip.
Pro-Tip: If the grip feels too tight to slide on, do not hammer it. Use a small amount of compressed air or a lubricant that evaporates completely (like window cleaner or rubbing alcohol) to help it slide home.
