RCB GP3 Carbon Lever Guard Set MotoGP Edition represents the absolute peak of RCB’s safety and performance accessory line. This “MotoGP Edition” is a direct evolution of the guards used by world-class racing teams, featuring enhanced materials and a distinct high-visibility aesthetic designed for the most demanding track environments.
While the standard GP3 provides essential protection, the MotoGP Edition is optimized for maximum weight reduction and features the signature fluorescent yellow or high-contrast accenting synonymous with RCB’s racing heritage.

Ultra-Lightweight 3K Carbon Arm: The shield is constructed from premium-grade, vacuum-molded 3K carbon fiber. This ensures the guard is incredibly stiff—capable of deflecting high-speed impacts from other riders—while weighing almost nothing at the handlebar ends.
Aviation-Grade CNC Alloy Base: The mounting bracket is CNC-machined from 7075-series billet aluminum. This specific alloy provides higher tensile strength than standard aluminum, ensuring the guard remains locked in place even under extreme vibration or direct contact.
The “Anti-Lock” Safety Protocol: In professional racing, the primary goal of this guard is to prevent the front brake lever from being depressed by another rider’s fairing or elbow. This “MotoGP Edition” features a slightly wider protective arc to ensure total coverage for long-style racing levers.
Aerodynamic Venturi Winglet: The guard’s profile is sculpted to act as a miniature winglet. At speeds exceeding 200 km/h, the specialized shape helps manage airflow around the rider’s hands, reducing the “lever drag” caused by intense wind pressure.

Professional Racing Utility
In many international racing series, lever guards are now mandatory safety equipment. The RCB GP3 MotoGP Edition is designed to meet these stringent safety regulations. It provides a “crumple zone” that can absorb a portion of an impact’s energy before transferring it to the handlebar, potentially saving the rider from a front-end tuck-under during close-contact racing maneuvers.
Installation Guidelines
Expanding Bolt Engagement: Slide the expanding wedge into the hollow end of your handlebar. As you tighten the bolt, the wedge flares out to “bite” the internal walls of the bar. Ensure there is no grease inside the handlebar end for maximum grip.
The “Pinky” Gap Test: When the guard is installed, you should still be able to comfortably wrap your hand around the grip and have enough room to operate the lever without your fingers touching the carbon arm.
Threadlocker Application: Given the high vibrations of racing engines, it is highly recommended to apply a drop of Loctite 243 (Blue) to the mounting bolts to ensure the guards do not vibrate loose during a session.
Symmetry Check: Ensure both the brake and clutch guards are set to the same angle and length. A mismatched setup can subtly affect your perception of the bike’s width when navigating through tight gaps.
