RCB E-Series Rear Brake Pads are premium aftermarket semi-metallic brake pads engineered specifically to deliver reliable, controlled, and fade-resistant rear-end stopping power. Developed with a street-optimized friction matrix, the E-Series focuses on a highly progressive and predictable lever feel, which is crucial for a rear brake to prevent unintentional rear-wheel lockups while maintaining excellent stability.

This specific rear brake pad configuration is precision-molded to fit perfectly into the factory rear brake caliper of the high-revving Suzuki GSX-R150 and its naked sibling, the GSX-S150.

Key Features

  • Progressive Semi-Metallic Blend: Formulated with a balanced matrix of metallic fibers and softer organic compounds. This delivers smooth, highly controllable modulation, allowing you to trail-brake into corners with absolute precision.

  • Anti-Lockup Control: Unlike overly aggressive racing pads that can suddenly snap-lock the rear wheel, the E-Series offers a linear braking curve, giving the rider excellent feedback at the foot pedal.

  • Disc-Friendly Formulation: Engineered to glide smoothly against your rear brake rotor. It provides consistent friction while minimizing severe scoring, deep grooving, or premature rotor wear.

  • Thermal Protection: The backing plate features a specialized heat-resistant coating that acts as a thermal barrier. This minimizes heat transfer from the pad into the rear caliper piston, preventing brake fluid boiling during heavy urban stop-and-go riding.

  • All-Weather Performance: Specially treated to maintain a stable friction coefficient across both bone-dry summer streets and slick, rain-soaked roads.

  • 100% Asbestos-Free: Built with an environmentally safe and chemically stable compound, ensuring no toxic dust is released during deceleration.

Fitment Advantages for the Suzuki GSX-R150

  1. Enhanced Cornering Control: The GSX-R150 is a sharp-handling track-born machine. The progressive nature of the RCB E-Series rear pads makes them perfect for “trail braking”—using the rear brake mid-corner to tighten your riding line and stabilize the chassis.

  2. Balanced Braking Distribution: Upgrading your rear pad ensures your rear braking power complements your front brake effectively, shortening your total emergency stopping distance without unsettling the rear suspension.

Installation Guideline

  • Clean the Rotor: Rear brakes are highly susceptible to road grime, chain fling-off, and grease. Before dropping the new pads into the caliper, spray your rear brake disc thoroughly with a dedicated brake cleaner and wipe it dry with a clean cloth.

  • Check Master Cylinder Reservoir: Pushing the rear caliper piston inward to make room for the fresh, thick pads will push brake fluid back up into the rear master cylinder reservoir. Check the level to ensure it does not overflow.

  • Bed-In Period (First 50–100 km): Brand new pads need to wear into the exact micro-surface profile of your current rotor. Avoid stomping hard on the rear brake pedal for the first 50 to 100 kilometers. Instead, apply gradual, progressive foot pressure from 50 km/h to 10 km/h to properly transfer a uniform layer of friction material across the disc surface.
