Recommended Additional Upgrades
RCB E2 Plus (E2+) Left-Hand Master Cylinder (14mm) is an advanced evolution of the classic E2 series, delivering enhanced mechanical leverage and adjustments for premium motorcycle and scooter setups.
Engineered with a versatile 14mm internal bore piston, this premium hydraulic control unit is primarily utilized as a high-efficiency hydraulic clutch master cylinder on manual motorcycles or as a highly communicative rear brake master cylinder on large-displacement maxi-scooters. The E2 Plus edition introduces structural design upgrades over the standard version, featuring an external multi-position adjustability system to let you customize your lever distance precisely.
Key Features
-
Integrated Multi-Position Adjustable Lever: The defining upgrade of the E2 Plus line is the inclusion of an indexed adjustable wheel lever dial. By turning this clicker, you can move the resting distance of the lever blade closer to or further from the handlebar grip, providing custom ergonomics for both short and long fingers.
-
Optimized 14mm Piston Bore: The 14mm internal master cylinder diameter acts as the ultimate performance ratio. It displaces enough fluid to control multi-piston rear brake calipers smoothly, and reduces hand strain by up to 30% when routing fluid into a manual hydraulic clutch slave cylinder.
-
Low-Profile Integrated Fluid Reservoir: Features a sleek, modern fluid reservoir cast directly onto the master cylinder body. Equipped with a clear window sight glass, it lets you inspect fluid levels and color health without cracking open the reservoir top cap.
-
High-Elasticity Folding Lever Blade: Built with a specialized mechanical pivot hinge. In the event of a crash, tip-over, or tight lane-filtering wall contact, the lever arm folds cleanly upward to absorb the impact rather than snapping off at the perch, allowing you to ride onward.
-
Billet-Style Anodized Finish: Machine-finished with a premium protective coat that shields the assembly against corrosive DOT brake fluid, severe UV fading, and hand sweat oils.
-
Integrated Safety Switch: Arrives pre-fitted with a micro-switch assembly that maps into your scooter’s factory brake light loom or acts as a motorcycle clutch safety interlock starter switch.

Dual-System Performance
-
Hydraulic Clutch Application: When paired with a secondary slave cylinder to replace a heavy, binding steel clutch cable, the 14mm fluid dynamics provide a highly progressive engagement zone. Finding neutral becomes much easier, and the smooth hydraulic leverage makes riding through intense city traffic nearly effortless.
-
Scooter Rear Disc Brake Application: For maxi-scooters upshifting their braking performance, this master cylinder pairs perfectly with aftermarket single, dual, or small four-piston rear brake calipers. It provides immediate initial bite while leaving plenty of lever feel for progressive trail-braking into sharp corners.
Installation Guidelines
-
Drape Protective Covering: Brake fluid acts as a highly destructive chemical solvent. Before opening the reservoir, completely drape your handlebars, instrument cluster, and painted fuel tank plastics in heavy towels to prevent accidental surface damage.
-
Thread Pitch Match Warning: The fluid inlet requires an M10 x 1.25mm thread pitch banjo bolt. Using an incorrect factory bolt (such as an M10 x 1.0mm) will cross-thread and ruin the aluminum body threads. Always install utilizing the fresh copper crush washers packed in your kit.
-
Bench Bleed the Cylinder Chamber: Air bubbles naturally rise to the highest point of a hydraulic system, often trapping themselves directly in the master cylinder piston channel. Before trying to bleed fluid from the caliper or slave cylinder below, pump the lever slowly and loosen the top banjo bolt slightly to purge any trapped air pockets first.
-
Symmetrical Level Placement: Clamp the assembly onto your standard 22mm handlebars at an angle that keeps the fluid reservoir as parallel to the horizon as possible when the front wheel is straight, ensuring the internal intake port never draws in dry air.
