UMA PLUG COIL FUEL INJECTION (FI) UNIVERSAL – RED

The UMA Racing High Performance Plug Coil (Fuel Injection) is a specialized ignition component designed to replace the standard ignition coil on EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) motorcycles. By delivering a significantly higher voltage—often twice the output of a stock unit—it ensures a hotter, more consistent spark across the entire RPM range.

This upgrade is particularly effective for riders looking to maximize combustion efficiency and “crisp” up their bike’s throttle response.

Why Upgrade to an UMA FI Coil?

1. Eliminate Misfires: If you have modified your engine (Big Bore, Racing ECU), your stock coil might struggle to jump the gap under high compression. The UMA coil provides the extra “punch” needed to prevent high-RPM misfires.

2. Plug-and-Play: For most modern underbones and small sportbikes (like the R15, GsxR, or Cbr), this is a direct replacement for the stock coil with no heavy wiring modifications required. The exception is TVS Apache RTR 160 4v: as it has a TCI instead of a CDI, the 160 4v needs the FI version instead of the Carb version of the Uma Coil.

Installation Tip: The “Spark Plug” Factor

To get the most out of your high-performance plug coil, it is highly recommended to pair it with an Iridium Spark Plug (like Uma Racing Utech Laser Iridium). The fine-wire tip of an Iridium plug requires less voltage to spark, allowing the UMA coil to deliver an even more intense and focused energy discharge.

Note: Ensure you select the FI (Fuel Injection) version. UMA also makes a version for Carburetor engines; using a Carb coil on an FI system can lead to electrical interference or damage to your sensitive ECU.
