RCB 950mm S-Series Brake Hose is a high-performance, universal braided stainless steel brake line designed to replace factory rubber hoses. The S-Series is specifically engineered to eliminate brake lever “sponginess,” maximize hydraulic fluid delivery, and provide sharp, immediate braking response under heavy load or high-temperature conditions.
At 950mm (95cm) in length, this universal hose is optimal for front brake setups on motorcycles equipped with tall handlebars, long-travel front suspension, or extended routing pathways.
Key Features
-
Zero-Expansion Braided Core: Features a heavy-duty, low-friction inner Teflon (PTFE) core wrapped in a high-density stainless steel wire braid. This structure prevents the hose from expanding under intense hydraulic pressure, channeling 100% of your lever effort directly to the caliper pistons.
-
Highly Durable Protective Jacket: Outer-coated with a smooth PVC protective sleeve that shields your motorcycle’s paint and plastics from scratching while locking out moisture, dirt, and road debris.
-
Precision-Engineered Banjo Fittings: Equipped with premium, corrosion-resistant alloy banjo fittings built to handle high torque loads and maintain a perfect, leak-free hydraulic seal.
-
Advanced Thermal Resistance: Formulated to withstand extreme heat spikes without degrading, ensuring consistent, fade-free braking performance during track days, steep mountain descents, or heavy urban traffic.
-
Universal Compatibility: Features standard 10mm (M10) banjo eyelets on both ends, allowing a seamless fit with OEM or aftermarket master cylinders and calipers from major brands like RCB. Brembo, Nissin, and ByBre.

Fitment & Application Guidelines
Before purchasing, trace and measure your motorcycle’s existing routing pathway to confirm that 950mm is the appropriate length. It is most commonly used for:
-
Adventure & Dual-Sport Motorcycles: Excellent for adventure bikes or dual-sports (like the Honda CB150X or standard dual-sports) that feature high handlebars and long-travel front forks that require extra line slack.
-
Tall Handlebars & Custom Cruisers: Ideal for street fighters or custom builds where aftermarket taller handlebars (like tracker or ape-hanger bars) have been installed, requiring longer lines than factory equipment.
-
Scooter Rear Brakes: Can be used as a rear brake line on compact-to-medium sized scooters where the distance between the handlebar master cylinder and the rear engine-mounted caliper matches this length.
Installation Checklist
-
Hand-Thread Banjo Bolts: Always thread your banjo bolts into the master cylinder and caliper by hand first to avoid cross-threading. Ensure the angle of the hose eyelet permits a natural, un-twisted fluid path.
-
Always Use New Crush Washers: Place a fresh copper or aluminum crush washer on each side of the banjo eyelet (two per bolt) during assembly. Reusing old washers almost always leads to micro-leaks.
-
Check Full Clearance (Lock-to-Lock): Once installed, turn your handlebars fully from left to right and compress the front suspension completely. Ensure the brake hose is not pinched, tightly stretched, or rubbing against moving parts like the front tire, radiator, or mudguard.
-
Complete System Bleeding: Fill the master cylinder reservoir with the manufacturer-specified brake fluid (DOT 3, DOT 4, or DOT 5.1). Bleed the system thoroughly until all trapped air bubbles are completely evacuated and a firm, predictable lever feel is restored.
