RCB Teflon Braided Brake Hose (550mm) is an elite, competition-grade hydraulic upgrade designed to replace standard expandable rubber lines.

Measuring 550mm (55cm) from end to end, this shorter universal hose is perfectly sized for rear brake systems on most sportbikes, underbones, and naked street motorcycles, as well as the front brake lines on smaller scooters and mini-bikes.

High-Performance Teflon Hose

Standard rubber brake lines flex and swell when you step on the rear brake pedal, losing valuable hydraulic force. The RCB Teflon hose uses a multi-layered construction to isolate and direct 100% of that pressure to your caliper:

  • Ultra-Smooth Teflon (PTFE) Inner Core: Unlike rubber, which degrades and creates internal drag over time, the slick Teflon core maximizes fluid velocity and handles extremely high operating temperatures without breaking down.

  • High-Density Stainless Steel Braiding: A tight shield of stainless steel wire covers the core, acting as a structural backbone that completely eliminates volumetric expansion under hard braking pressure.

  • Anti-Scratch PVC Outer Sleeve: The entire line is wrapped in a durable, smooth outer jacket that prevents the abrasive steel wire from rubbing against or scratching your swingarm, frame, or painted plastics.

Key Features

  • Crisp, Immediate Pedal Response: By stopping line expansion, it transforms a “mushy” or spongy rear brake pedal into a firm, highly communicative, and immediate stopping response with significantly shorter foot travel.

  • True Universal Application: Built with standard 10mm (M10) banjo eyelets at common entry angles, ensuring a flawless bolt-on fitment for OEM or aftermarket master cylinders and calipers across all major brands (Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Bajaj, Hero etc.).

  • Corrosion-Resistant Banjo Fittings: Equipped with heavy-duty, rust-proof alloy banjos engineered to handle tight torque specs and maintain a permanent seal.

Installation Guidelines

  1. Check Full Suspension Travel: Before tightening down the banjo bolts, route the line along your swingarm. Push down on the rear of the bike to compress the suspension, and lift it to full extension. The hose must move freely without getting pinched or pulled taut.

  2. Always Use New Crush Washers: The hydraulic seal relies on copper or aluminum crush washers resting on either side of the banjo fitting. Never reuse old, compressed factory washers, as they are prone to weeping fluid.

  3. Torque Carefully: Tighten your banjo bolts to the manufacturer’s recommended spec (usually 20 to 25 Nm). Over-torqueing can easily strip the threads out of aluminum master cylinders or calipers.

  4. Thoroughly Bleed the Rear Circuit: Rear brake lines are notorious for trapping stubborn air bubbles at the highest bend of the line. Bleed your system using fresh DOT 4 fluid until the pedal feels rock-solid.
