RCB E-Series Front Brake Pads are premium aftermarket semi-metallic brake pads engineered to deliver balanced, highly dependable stopping power for everyday street performance. The E-Series prioritizes a progressive and predictable lever feel, making it an exceptional direct replacement for standard factory pads.

This specific front brake pad configuration is tailored to fit the standard front brake caliper of the Suzuki Gixxer (Monotone/Single Disc/Dual Disc) and the fully-faired Suzuki Gixxer SF series.

Key Features

  • Semi-Metallic Friction Matrix: Formulated with an advanced blend of metallic and softer organic fibers. This compound delivers a strong, immediate initial “bite” without requiring the brakes to fully warm up first.

  • Disc-Friendly Composite: Engineered to provide a smooth, low-abrasion friction surface. It grips firmly while minimizing severe scoring, deep grooving, or premature wear on your front rotor.

  • All-Weather Performance: Built with a specialized hard-anodizing backing process. The friction lining maintains steady stopping power and limits efficiency drop-off during sudden rain or water splashes.

  • Anti-Fade Heat Shielding: The rear backing plate is coated with an insulated, anti-corrosion thermal layer. This slows down heat transfer from the pads into the brake caliper pistons, helping to prevent brake fluid boiling and a “spongy” lever under heavy city traffic use.

  • Quiet & Low Dust: Chamfered configuration helps suppress high-pitched braking squeals during gradual deceleration while keeping black brake dust on your rims to a minimum.

  • 100% Asbestos-Free: Environmentally stable and completely safe, ensuring no toxic chemical dust is released during heavy mechanical friction.

Fitment Advantages for the Gixxer & Gixxer SF

  1. For the Gixxer (Monotone/Naked): Commuter and urban city riding demands constant stop-and-go braking. The RCB E-Series improves emergency stopping distances over base-level OEM mineral pads, providing immediate response when navigating chaotic traffic.

  2. For the Gixxer SF (Faired): The aerodynamics of the Gixxer SF encourage faster highway speeds. Aggressive slowing from high speeds places immense pressure on the front brakes; the heat resistance of the E-Series minimizes brake fade, ensuring consistent stopping power at the end of long straights.

Maintenance & Bedding-In (Run-In) Protocol

  • Degrease the Disc: Before dropping the fresh pads into the caliper, spray your front brake disc heavily with a dedicated brake cleaner. Use a clean cloth to wipe away any old friction glaze, dirt, or leftover oil.

  • Check Master Cylinder: When pushing the caliper pistons inward to clear room for the new, thicker pads, watch your handlebar master cylinder fluid reservoir. The fluid will rise, so ensure it does not overflow onto your bike’s paintwork.

  • Bed-In Period (First 50–100 km): Brand new pads need to wear into the exact micro-surface profile of your current rotor. Avoid panic-style, full-lock braking for the first 50 to 100 kilometers. Instead, perform gradual, progressive slow-downs from 50 km/h to 10 km/h to properly transfer a uniform layer of friction material across the disc surface.
