RCB S2 Series Brake Caliper is a high-performance, single-piston hydraulic upgrade precision-engineered for the Yamaha NMAX (V1/V2/V3) and Yamaha Aerox 155 (NVX155) platforms. Model Specific Application Strategy
Because the NMAX and Aerox share similar engine architectures but completely different rear brake setups, verify your destination application before assembly:
Yamaha Aerox 155 (NVX155): The S2 Caliper installs strictly on the Front Wheel layout, replacing the stock single-pot front caliper to significantly sharpen front wheel traction braking. (The Aerox utilizes a mechanical drum brake configuration in the rear).
Yamaha NMAX 155 (V1 / V2 / V3): The S2 series is available in individual configurations for both Front and Rear disc assemblies. Upgrading both wheels balances hydraulic lever pressure across your handlebars, maximizing the tracking control of your factory anti-lock braking system (ABS).
Technical Calibration Insight: If you upgrade to an RCB S2 caliper and notice the lever pulls in unusually close to your handlebars before engaging, your master cylinder may be drawing in micro air pockets. Ensure you execute a thorough “bench bleed” at the master cylinder’s top banjo bolt to clear trapped air out of the upper line assembly.
