The RCB S26 Brake Caliper is a high-performance 2-piston braking system designed to provide superior stopping power and better “brake feel” compared to original equipment. As an evolution of the famous S-Series, the S26 features a refined CNC-machined body that is both lighter and more rigid than the stock cast-iron or aluminum calipers found on most 155cc Yamaha models.
This caliper is a direct bolt-on upgrade for the front of the R15, MT-15, and XSR 155, and can also be used for NMAX and Aerox models (depending on the specific bracket/disc setup).
Key Features
-
2-Piston Progressive Braking: The S26 utilizes dual 26mm pistons. This design provides a more balanced pressure distribution across the brake pads, leading to a “progressive” feel—meaning you get more braking power the harder you squeeze, without the brakes feeling “wooden” or “on/off.”
-
CNC Machined Aluminum Body: Forged and then CNC-finished from high-grade aluminum. This process removes excess weight while increasing the rigidity of the caliper, which prevents “caliper flex” under heavy emergency braking.
-
Superior Heat Dissipation: The aluminum alloy and open-body design allow the caliper to shed heat much faster than stock units. This significantly reduces brake fade during aggressive downhill riding or track sessions.
-
Included S-Series Brake Pads: Comes pre-installed with high-friction brake pads designed to work optimally with the S26’s piston pressure, offering immediate “bite” even when the brakes are cold.
-
Premium Anodized Aesthetics: Available in RCB’s signature colors (Red, Gold, Blue, Silver, Black, and Anthracite). The anodized finish is highly resistant to the corrosive effects of brake fluid and road grime.

Why Upgrade to the S26?
-
Safety & Performance: The stock single-piston or basic dual-piston calipers on small-displacement bikes are often the first thing to struggle when you carry a passenger or ride aggressively. The S26 offers a shorter stopping distance and better control.
-
Customization: It is the perfect visual centerpiece for your front end, especially when paired with RCB Teflon Braided Brake Hoses and an S1 Master Cylinder.
-
Consistency: The S26 maintains a consistent lever feel even after repeated hard stops, giving you the confidence to push your bike further.
Installation Note
While this is designed as a performance replacement, always ensure that your brake disc is in good condition before installation. When fitting the S26, it is mandatory to perform a full brake fluid flush using fresh DOT 4 fluid. For the best performance, allow the new pads a “bedding-in” period of approximately 50–100km of moderate braking.
