The RCB 428R O-Ring Series Chain (132L) is a high-performance drive chain engineered for riders who demand reliability and low maintenance. By utilizing a “sealed” design, this chain significantly outperforms standard “non-ring” chains in terms of lifespan and smoothness, making it a favorite for both daily commuters and long-distance tourers.
The 132L (132 Links) length provides a universal fitment, offering plenty of room for bikes with larger rear sprockets or longer wheelbases.
Key Features
-
Integrated O-Ring Seals: Between each inner and outer plate, a high-quality rubber O-ring is seated. This ring traps a lifetime of specialized grease around the pins and bushings while acting as a barrier to keep water, dust, and abrasive grit out of the internal parts.
-
Reduced Wear & Elongation: Because the internal lubrication is sealed in, the “stretch” (which is actually pin wear) is dramatically reduced. This means you will spend significantly less time adjusting your chain slack compared to a traditional chain.
-
High-Tensile Steel Alloy: The plates are constructed from reinforced steel alloy that has been heat-treated for maximum strength. This allows the chain to handle the sudden torque surges of 150cc–200cc engines without snapping or deforming.
-
Shock Absorption: The rubber O-rings act as a tiny mechanical cushion between the links, which helps dampen drivetrain noise and provides a much smoother power delivery when you roll on the throttle.
-
Corrosion Protection: Typically finished with a gold or specialized protective coating, the 428R is built to resist rust, even if you frequently ride in heavy rain or humid coastal environments.

Why Choose the 428R O-Ring Series?
-
Low Maintenance: For riders who don’t want to clean and lube their chain every single week, the O-ring series is a lifesaver. The internal grease stays put, requiring only occasional external lubrication to keep the rollers spinning smoothly.
-
Quiet Operation: The dampening effect of the O-rings makes this chain significantly quieter than a non-sealed chain, reducing that metallic “clatter” at high speeds.
-
Cost-Effective: While it costs slightly more than a basic chain upfront, the 428R lasts twice as long, making it much cheaper over the total kilometers driven.
Installation & Maintenance Tip
When installing the 132L chain, use a chain breaker to remove any excess links to match your bike’s specific requirements (for example, the R15 V3 usually requires 128 links). Crucial: Use only O-ring safe lubricants and cleaners. Avoid using kerosene or harsh solvents, as they can cause the rubber O-rings to swell and fail, which would allow the internal grease to leak out and destroy the chain.
