Important Variant Note: The Indonesian variant of the MT-15 features distinct master cylinder and clutch perch bracket dimensions compared to variants sold in other markets (such as India or the Philippines). This specific kit is machined to match the Indo-spec master cylinder pivot pins perfectly, ensuring smooth mechanical clearance with zero lever wobble.

Installation & Adjustment Guidelines

Drop-In Compatibility: The S3 lever kit features MT-15 Indo-specific mounting adapter blocks, making it a direct drop-in replacement for the stock master cylinder and clutch perch without requiring modifications.

Maintain Clutch Freeplay: When installing the S3 clutch lever, ensure you adjust the cable tensioner to retain the factory-recommended 10mm to 15mm of freeplay at the lever tip. Clamping the lever too close to the handlebar without adjusting the cable can cause premature clutch slipping and accelerated clutch plate wear.

Lubricate the Pivot Points: Apply a light layer of lithium or marine-grade grease onto the main shoulder bolts before sliding them into the pivot perches. This ensures incredibly smooth fluid movement and eliminates any stiff “metal-on-metal” rubbing.

Threadlocker Safety: Secure the pivot pins and lock nuts using a drop of medium-strength blue threadlocker (e.g., Loctite 242) to guarantee that constant engine vibrations from the high-revving VVA single-cylinder power plant don’t back the fasteners out over time.
