RCB E-Series Rear Brake Pads are premium aftermarket semi-metallic brake pads engineered to provide smooth, highly modulated, and dependable stopping power.

Unlike front brakes that require a sharp, immediate bite, rear brake pads are designed with a linear friction curve to give the rider precise pedal feedback, heavily reducing the risk of accidental rear-wheel lockups—especially under split-second emergency braking.

 Critical Fitment Advantage: Universal Compatibility

While the Indian-spec and Indonesian-spec (Indo) variants of the Yamaha MT-15 feature entirely different front forks, front calipers, and front brake pads, their rear braking assemblies are identical.

This specific RCB E-Series Rear Brake Pad profile is a perfect, universal plug-and-play fit for the factory rear Nissin/ByBre calipers on both the Indonesian and Indian versions of the Yamaha MT-15, as well as the entire R15 (V3/V4/M) global lineup.

Key Features

  • Semi-Metallic Friction Matrix: Blends premium metallic filaments with resilient organic components to deliver consistent, predictable rear braking without requiring any warm-up time.

  • Perfect Pedal Modulation: Formulated to support “trail braking” (dragging the rear brake through mid-corner apexes) to stabilize the motorcycle chassis without breaking rear tire traction.

  • Disc-Friendly Composite: Smooth, non-aggressive friction lining protects the rear rotor against deep scoring, heat spots, and premature wear.

  • Anti-Fade Thermal Coating: The steel backing plate is finished with a specialized thermal insulation barrier to slow down heat transfer into the rear caliper piston, keeping the foot pedal from turning “spongy.”

  • All-Weather Drainage: Features a chamfered cut and central slot design to instantly channel away water, mud, and road grime during heavy monsoon downpours.

  • 100% Asbestos-Free: Formulated using eco-safe compounds that yield minimal dark dust on your alloy rims while staying entirely quiet.

Maintenance Guideline

  1. Degrease the Rear Disc: Rear brakes accumulate massive amounts of chain lube fling-off, dirt, and road grease. Spray your rear brake disc thoroughly with a dedicated brake cleaner and wipe completely dry before installing the new pads.

  2. Resetting the Piston: Use a piston expander tool or old pad to push the rear caliper piston fully back into its housing to accommodate the maximum thickness of the fresh pads. Keep an eye on your rear fluid reservoir to make sure it doesn’t overflow.

  3. The 100 km Bed-In Window: To guarantee maximum service life, avoid stomping hard on the rear brake pedal for the first 50 to 100 kilometers. Perform progressive, gentle slow-downs from 50 km/h to 10 km/h to allow the new friction compound to uniformly coat the face of the rear rotor.
