Installation Guidelines

  2. Maintain Clutch Freeplay: When installing the S3 clutch lever, ensure you adjust the cable tensioner to retain the factory-recommended 10mm to 15mm of freeplay at the lever tip. Pushing the lever too close to the handlebar without adjusting the cable can cause premature clutch slipping and wear.

  3. Lubricate the Pivot Points: Apply a light layer of lithium or marine-grade grease onto the main shoulder bolts before sliding them into the pivot perches. This ensures incredibly smooth fluid movement and eliminates any stiff “metal-on-metal” rubbing.
