RCB S26 REAR BRAKE CALIPER AEROX / NVX / NMAX

RCB S26 Rear Brake Caliper is a high-performance aftermarket braking upgrade precision-engineered for Yamaha’s premium maxi-scooter lineup, including the Aerox 155 (NVX 155) and NMAX 155.

The S26 Series is designed to replace the standard single-piston cast iron factory rear calipers, upgrading the system to a highly efficient two-piston configuration. This setup significantly increases hydraulic clamping force, reduces brake fade, and delivers a highly responsive, communicative rear brake lever feel.

The Silver finish gives the rear wheel assembly a clean, factory-racing mechanical look that complements any color scheme.

• Yamaha NMAX (V1 / V2 / V3): Direct bolt-on for all generations of the NMAX 155, as they come equipped with a rear factory disc brake system out of the box.

• Yamaha Aerox / NVX 155:

  • Note for Standard Drum Rear Models: If your specific market variant of the Aerox/NVX features a factory rear drum brake, this caliper can only be installed if you have already converted the rear wheel to a hydraulic disc brake assembly using an aftermarket disc hub and caliper bracket.

  • Note for Factory Rear Disc Models: Fits directly on premium Aerox/NVX model variants that come factory-equipped with a rear disc setup.

• ABS System Compatibility: The S26 caliper is fully compatible with Yamaha’s factory Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). It maintains proper fluid cycling and pulsing frequencies without triggering error codes on your dashboard.

Installation Guidelines

1. Use Fresh Fluid & Crush Washers: Always use the new sealing crush washers provided in the box when attaching your brake line banjo bolt. Flush and fill the system with fresh, clean DOT 4 brake fluid from a sealed container.

2. Bleed the System Thoroughly: Because you are introducing a dual-piston chamber, trapping air is highly common during a manual install. Bleed the rear brake lines thoroughly until the lever feels firm and solid. A vacuum bleeder is highly recommended.

3. Bedding-In Procedure: Allow roughly 50 to 100 kilometers of gentle, progressive braking for the new pads to bed into your existing rear disc rotor. Avoid sudden, hard lockups during this window to prevent glazing the pads.
